Citi Wealth announced a partnership with all-in-one wealth technology provider Advyzon and Advyzon Investment Management to create a global UMA program. The UMA will be available to Citi Private Bank, Wealth at Work and Citigold private clients globally. Its initial rollout is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
The UMA will bring together the various products Citi Wealth offers its clients, including ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs and alternative investment options, along with market views provided by the Citi Wealth chief investment office. It will incorporate multi-currency capabilities, onshore and offshore investment structures and Citi Wealth home office portfolios.
Citi Wealth will also integrate the UMA with Citi Portfolio Solutions powered by BlackRock, the result of Citigroup handing over management of $80 billion in global private client assets to the giant asset manager. The agreement, which went into effect in late 2025, seeks to take advantage of BlackRock’s investment management and technology capabilities.
The UMA will also feature a single account 360-degree view, with one client agreement and one fee, and enhanced client reporting.
Financial services firms and supporting technology platforms are increasingly making UMAs a priority, with a focus on incorporating alternative investment options. Last week, for example, iCapital and Envestnet expanded their partnership to include iCapital alternative investment and structured product options in Envestnet’s UMA. Some months prior, Vestmark combined its UMA with access to private market funds offered by CAIS.
Research firm Cerulli Associates estimates that over the five years ending in 2024, UMAs experienced a compounded annual growth rate of 18.7%, reaching $257.7 billion in net flows, the highest level in the managed account universe.
According to Citi Wealth executives, they chose Advyzon as a partner for their global UMA for its fully scalable, AI-enabled, multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction TAMP platform.
“This program, powered by Advyzon’s leading agile and artificial intelligence-powered technology, will streamline many aspects of Citi Wealth’s core advice offerings and significantly improve the overall investment experience for clients,” said Keith Glenfield, head of investment solutions at Citi Wealth, in a statement.
According to a statement by Hailin LI, founder and CEO of Advyzon, “We’re proud to partner with Citi Wealth on creating one global advisory platform that unites prospecting, account opening, unified management account/household, client reporting and custodial capabilities.”
