Vylit Raises .7M for its AI-Powered Creator Monetization Platform – AlleyWatch
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LInkedIn

The creator economy has exploded into a multibillion-dollar industry, yet most social media platforms remain designed for established influencers rather than everyday users seeking to monetize their content. Traditional social platforms offer limited earning opportunities, while dedicated creator platforms often require existing audiences or sacrifice user privacy and control. Vylit bridges this gap as an 18+ social-meets-creator platform that combines advanced AI discovery technology with built-in monetization tools, enabling anyone to build community and earn income from their content without needing a pre-existing following. The platform features proprietary discovery algorithms, AI-powered image generation and chat tools, plus comprehensive safety measures including age verification through Yoti and content moderation via Unitary AI. Set to launch publicly in December 2025, Vylit aims to make social media truly social and enjoyable again while opening up monetization opportunities to the masses.

AlleyWatch sat down with Vylit Cofounders Ami Gan and Kailey Magder to learn more about the business, its future plans, recent funding round, and much, much more…

Who were your investors and how much did you raise?

We raised $2.7M Seed funding led by NY-based Windmill Chain Fund.

Tell us about the product or service that VYLIT offers.

Vylit is an 18+ social-meets-creator platform redefining how people share, discover, and monetize content. Vylit is where sharing and earning collide as thirst traps and everyday moments live side by side. Built for anyone, not just established names, Vylit gives creators advanced AI tools, smart discovery, and built-in safety features to grow, connect, and stay in control.

What inspired the start of VYLIT?

We were talking to our friends about their experiences on social media and seeing a gap in the market between traditional social platforms and creator platforms – that’s where we spotted an opportunity that no one else was thinking of. After years of hearing people saying they wished they could monetize their content – full-time or side hustle –  we stopped to think what was stopping them and we reverse engineered Vylit to support this market of potential users and creators.

How is VYLIT different?

Vylit is a social media platform that’s creator-first. Vylit is also the first platform to have AI woven throughout the experience. We are truly a creator first platform and inclusive of anyone who wants to be a creator. Through our discovery tools, anyone can build an audience on Vylit.

What market does VYLIT target and how big is it?

Vylit aims to be the next major social platform with creator tools disrupting the multibillion creator economy and making it accessible for anyone 18+ to monetize content.

What’s your business model?

Vylit takes a percentage of creator earnings and will be charging for access to our AI tools. We also plan to implement additional features including user verification and advertising down the line.

How are you preparing for a potential economic slowdown?

As entrepreneurs, we are conservative around spending. Given that Vylit allows anyone 18+ to monetize their content, we anticipate we could get some interest as people look for alternatives to earn extra income.

What was the funding process like?

We spent a lot of time speaking with a range of investors, angels, and family offices. Ultimately, it came down to the right fit with the right investor at the right time.

What are the biggest challenges that you faced while raising capital?

Many people had misconceptions about Vylit or what the platform was about. This ultimately helped us narrow down our pitch and messaging.

What factors about your business led your investors to write the check?

The opportunity to reach a mass audience and the belief we have in the business and its potential.

What are the milestones you plan to achieve in the next six months?

We will have a beta version of Vylit in market before the end of the year. We’re excited to start working with creators and getting their feedback on the platform.

What advice can you offer companies in New York that do not have a fresh injection of capital in the bank?

Stay persistent and continue to believe in yourselves. Fundraising is a lot of work and it’s important to stay true to your vision and idea.

Where do you see the company going now over the near term?

We’re optimistic about Vylit’s growth and we want to build up a waitlist for creators and users of the platform. Long-term, we can envision Vylit being a mass market social platform.

What’s your favorite fall destination in and around the city?

Going to Brooklyn for cozy and warm vintage finds.
