In the immortal words of legendary rapper, actor and Future Proof Festival headliner Method Man, “cash rules everything around me.”
To close out the summer with a bang — and plenty of head nods — the staff of Financial Planning has spent some of September crafting our inaugural “Sound Investments” playlist series. Released every Friday of the month, the series gives financial advisors and clients a soundtrack to sum up the impact the almighty dollar has on all our lives.
Week one was 20 pop songs. Week two was 18 rock songs. It continues next week with a curated list of country tunes, and will close out with an ultimate playlist at the end.
You’ll also probably notice that this week’s playlist packs in a few more jams than the others included in the series. Breaking news: Rappers like to talk about money. A lot. So I’ll let the music speak for itself in this collection that clocks in at more than two hours and 10 minutes of absolute fire.
At the bottom, find a link to add the playlist, which features songs from the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., The O’Jays, Rihanna, Cardi B and Drake, to your feed on Spotify or Apple Music.
We’d also love your suggestions for songs! Is there anything we missed? Do you have a go-to song about wealth that gets you pumped up for that upcoming client meeting? What song blared through the speakers in celebration as your firm closed that big M&A?Just send your picks to [email protected]. We’ll add them to the playlists.
And before we get this week rolling, I’ll just leave this here.
