It’s that time of year again! Financial Planning is proud to launch the 2025 Rising Star awards, honoring wealth management professionals with fewer than 10 years of experience in the industry.
These awards celebrate young professionals and career changers making meaningful contributions to the profession through their achievements, innovations and community service. The deadline for nominations is midnight on Monday, June 30, 2025. Results will be announced in September.

Who’s eligible?
Nominations are open to fee-only or fee-based planners and wealth management professionals with less than 10 years of industry experience as of December 31, 2025. You can nominate a colleague — or yourself — and submit as many nominations as you like.
What we’re looking for
The nomination form is quick and easy, requiring basic details about the nominee and their firm, as well as responses to a few open-ended questions that should explain the nominee’s professional impact and potential as a Rising Star.
Winners from past years have stood out for going above and beyond the daily responsibilities of their work and dedicating time to advancing the broader industry. We’re also interested in advisors who not only excel in their work, but have an interesting story to tell about how they got where they’re at.
A panel from the Financial Planning team will review submissions and select winners based on the strength of their accomplishments and contributions to the field. While firm size and assets under management may be considered, they won’t be the sole deciding factors.
