Target’s shares jumped after the retailer said profits rose sharply in the third quarter, comfortably exceeding Wall Street forecasts.
The stock advanced nearly 16%, and stood at about $129 a share in morning trading.
Target’s shares have been battered this year as it has dealt with an inventory glut and sales slowdown. The stock hasn’t risen more than 10% in a single session since 2020.
