A new venture aims to integrate innovation, process efficiency and sustainability for global denim manufacturers.
Barcelona-based specialty chemical company Cromogenia Units announced this week that it is launching a new Denim Division with EcoFarben Grup (formerly Denisul Grup), a Spanish company widely recognized for its extensive expertise in textile processes, particularly those applied to denim fabrics.

Cromogenia Units has over 85 years of experience providing solutions for textile preparation, dyeing, finishing and coating such as anti-pilling and water and oil repellent treatments. It also has divisions dedicated to adhesives, leather, construction and water treatment.
EcoFarben Grup has 40 years of specialized experience in the research, development and commercialization of advanced technologies and products for the textile industry.
Through the Denim Division, Cromogenia Units plans to strengthen its position as a leading technological partner to the textile industry. The division will offer a portfolio of chemical solutions specifically designed to optimize denim dyeing processes, with a strong focus on improving sustainability and technical performance.
The company said these solutions contribute to greater process efficiency, consistency and quality, supporting denim manufacturers in addressing the current challenges of the industry. Albert Llort will lead the division.
Cromogenia Units and EcoFarben Grup’s collaboration is the latest of several strategic partnerships in the chemical supply chain. Archroma and HeiQ have entered into a co-marketing agreement that combines their complementary strengths to deliver advanced anti-odor and antimicrobial technologies to brands, retailers and textile mills. Swiss company Sanitized AG also entered a distribution partnership with German specialty chemical company Rudolf Holding to scale its odor neutralization and antimicrobial technologies.
