Inflation-weary shoppers are continuing to lean on spices and seasonings to zhuzh up home-cooked meals.
This demand for flavor—as McCormick MKC -3.91%decrease; red down pointing triangle & Co. Chief Executive Brendan Foley calls it—lifted the company’s sales and profit in the recent quarter. The gain wasn’t enough to offset rising costs and steep tariffs, though, and that prompted the spice maker to lower its full-year earnings forecast.
