Rotterdam-based Clickdrive, a mobility startup helping people obtain their driver’s licenses, has secured €750,000 in seed funding led by Graduate Entrepreneur.
Dutch-based Graduate Entrepreneur aims to stimulate the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Rotterdam and Delft.
Graduate Entrepreneur is an initiative of a group of influential and merited alumni of Erasmus University Rotterdam, Erasmus MC, and the Delft University of Technology.
Rui Li, an investor at Graduate Entrepreneur, says, “We have been following Clickdrive for years via our Pre-Seed fund. Their proposition is simple, but not easy to do. The team has done a remarkable job by creating a win-win situation for the driving lesson community and has built its platform to scale. We are more than excited to support their next phase of growth and truly believe in their ambitions to scale internationally.”
The Dutch company will use the funds to solidify its position in the Netherlands, expand its team, and further develop its software for driving schools, as well as prepare to launch internationally in other markets.
Clickdrive: Modernising driver education across Europe
Founded by Joost van Suijlekom, Clickdrive aims to transform the way people get their driver’s license by combining theory, practice, and smart digital tools in one seamless experience.
The platform connects learners to driving schools in 92 per cent of the Netherlands, allows flexible scheduling, and offers theory support in six languages, both online and in-person.
For driving schools, the Dutch company provides a software solution that streamlines administration, attracts new students, and helps scale operations in an increasingly digital market.
As a result, driving schools using Clickdrive earn on average 30 per cent more, claims the company.
“This investment marks a pivotal moment for Clickdrive as we double down on our mission to modernise driver education across Europe,” says Joost van Suijlekom, founder and CEO of Clickdrive.
“With the support of Graduate Entrepreneur and our other partners, we’re excited to scale faster, grow our team, and empower more driving schools and their students through smart technology,” adds van Suijlekom
