This makes it faster than its predecessors. The OnePlus 13 also has a massive 6,000mAh battery. This surpasses the typical 5,000mAh found in many Android phones.
Not too shabby @oneplus 13! 3 out of 4 AI Editor tools work well. Really surprised by AI Reflection Eraser the most, but pass on the AI Detail Boost. #OnePlus13https://t.co/5orAgH8gja

The OnePlus 13 also has all the flagship features expected at this price point. These include support from all three major US wireless carriers and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. OnePlus promises four years of OS updates and six years of security support.
This turns it into a good long-term investment. The OnePlus 13 is putting its best foot forward as it looks to set the tone for what a flagship phone can offer in 2025. The OnePlus alert slider is still here, with a physical movement.
You can move the OnePlus 13 to mute, vibrate, or ring fully without looking at your new smartphone. The OnePlus 13 comes with a 6,000 mAh battery. The dual-cell design allows for quicker charging.
The SuperVOOC wired charger offers 100W of power, allowing a full charge in 35 to 40 minutes. Wireless charging is also available, with OnePlus’ custom AIRVOOC charger providing 50W of power. The power of the OnePlus 13 comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
This is the current “top of the line” chipset, with benchmark scores that outpace the Samsung Exynos 2400 and Google’s Tensor G4. OnePlus has also included 16 GB of memory, providing more headroom for future software and AI demands. The OnePlus 13 features a triple-lens rear camera system: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering x3 magnification through a periscope lens.
OnePlus 13 performance and design highlights
Hasselblad’s contribution shines in the portrait mode, offering three filters that replicate classic film styles. OnePlus’ version of Android, OxygenOS, built on Android 15, ships with the OnePlus 13.
It maintains a simplified version of Android with minimal clutter. The OS heavily incorporates AI features, particularly in photo editing. The OnePlus 13 aims to be at the top of the premium smartphone market.
It features a vegan-friendly leather design and IP68/IP69 certifications for water and dust resistance. While the camera may not surpass all competitors, the OnePlus 13 delivers a strong overall package. The OnePlus 13 introduces MagSafe compatibility with its phone cases.
It also includes new software features in OxygenOS to enable seamless sharing with iPhone users. Alongside these, it boasts faster wired and wireless charging and impressive water resistance, even capable of withstanding a cycle in a dishwasher. One of the standout features is a shift to a flat screen, moving away from the curved edges of past models.
This design change improves ergonomics for taking photos and enhances the overall feel of the device in hand. The OnePlus 13 is powered by a “NanoStack” 6000mAh battery and comes with an 80W charger (100W in other markets), which can fully recharge the phone in just 36 minutes. Both the OnePlus 13 and 13R launched with OxygenOS 15 pre-installed.
OnePlus is also exploring new magnetic accessories. While the phone itself doesn’t feature a magnet in the back plate, OnePlus cases now include them to support both the company’s own accessories and third-party MagSafe gear. The OnePlus 13 combines a refined aesthetic with rugged durability.
It is the only phone so far with both IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. During a demonstration, the phone survived a dishwasher cycle, though real-world scenarios like saltwater exposure or high water pressure remain risky. On the camera front, OnePlus is leveraging AI to enhance its photo editing suite.
Features like AI Unblur, AI Detail Boost, and AI Reflection Eraser are cloud-based, requiring a data connection. The camera focuses on movement through an Action mode, designed to better freeze active scenes. Overall, the OnePlus 13 aims to combine innovative features, improved usability, and enhanced durability.
This makes it a strong contender in the flagship smartphone market.
