Berlin-based n8n, a workflow automation platform, has secured €55M in a Series B funding round led by Highland Europe with participation from HV Capital and previous investors Sequoia, Felicis, and Harpoon.
Highland Europe invests in exceptional growth-stage technology and consumer companies. It has raised over €2.75B and has invested in companies such as Adjust, AMCS, Camunda, ContentSquare, and others.
David Blyghton, General Partner at Highland Europe, says, “n8n has built something truly special — an amazing team, an engaged and rapidly growing community, and a product that is redefining automation. With LLM integrations now representing over 75% of workflows, the company is enabling developers to leverage AI in practical business use-cases, from ITOps & SecOps, through to sales automation. We’re excited to support n8n as they continue their journey to shape the future of automation.”
Following a year of explosive growth, n8n has surpassed 230,000 active users and grown ARR 5x in the last year.
The company will use the new funding to accelerate product development, focusing on improving tools for essential business workflows and enhancing monitoring features.
This investment will also enable growth in the engineering, product, and sales teams.
New offices will open in New York and London this year to better support its growing enterprise customers.
The funds will help the company expand its enterprise reach and strengthen its community, which is among the top 150 projects on GitHub.
n8n: “Swiss Army Knife” of workflow automation platforms
Founded by Jan Oberhauser in 2019, n8n is a workflow automation platform that combines AI capabilities with business process automation, giving technical teams the flexibility of code with the speed of no-code.
Jan Oberhauser, Founder and CEO of n8n, says, “Automation shouldn’t be a black box – companies need transparency, customisation, and cost efficiency. With n8n, we’ve built more than a platform; we’ve built a community that loves and relies on us. From individual contributors to global enterprises, n8n gives everyone the powers of a 10x developer, which is vital given the explosion of AI in the workplace. We’re redefining what AI-powered automation and workflows are capable of.”
The company supports workflows for more than 3,000 organisations. It allows users to integrate any large language model (LLM) with custom code and includes mechanisms for human oversight.
This helps organisations keep control of their automation and AI systems.
Dubbed the “Swiss Army Knife” of workflow automation platforms, the German company has become the trusted solution for government agencies, security teams, and enterprises worldwide.
With 400+ integrations and fair-code principles, the German company is transforming how businesses connect their systems and processes.
