In July 21 site publication, the MetaMask team confirmed that they have launched a new non-fungible token-based program. The NFT program is part of the MetaMask Missions, a 3-week marketing campaign running from July 21 to August 8, 2025, where NFT users complete weekly missions to earn sweepstakes entries for a chance to win a token reward. The campaign is free to join, but minting the opt-in NFT requires paying gas fees as determined by the network only.

MetaMask users will not be entered into the sweepstakes if they make transactions without opting in by minting the NFT. They must perform the swaps or bridges using the MetaMask wallet address they used to mint the opt-in NFT. The Mission Pass NFT minting is currently running until August 8, 2025.
